Product Description
Pfu DNA polymerase is a high-fidelity and heat-resistant DNA polymerase isolated from the thermophilic bacterium Pyrococcus furiosis. It has a molecular weight of 90 kDa and has 3'→5' exonuclease activity, which can correct DNA amplification (PCR) processes. Errors generated, and the traditional Taq DNA polymerase, etc. do not have this function. Other high-temperature DNA polymerases such as: Vent, DeepVent, Tli, UlTma, etc. also have correction functions, but Pfu has the lowest error rate when amplifying DNA among all DNA Polymerases found so far. Pfu DNA Polymerase has better thermal stability than ordinary Taq DNA Polymerase, and it still maintains more than 90% viability for 1 hour at 95°C.

Activity definition
At 74°C, the amount of enzyme required to incorporate 10 nmol of dNTPs into the acid-insoluble precipitate within 30 minutes is defined as 1 activity unit (U).
Storage buffer
20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.2); 0.1 mM EDTA; 0.1% Tween20; 0.1% NP-40; 1 mM DTT; 100 mM KCl; 50% (v/v) glycerol.
10X PCR Buffer
200 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.8); 100 mM KCl; 100 mM (NH4)2SO4; 20 mM MgSO4; 1.0 mg/mL BSA; 1.0% TritonX-100.
